Gaining Your Confidence Back

How are those New Year’s Resolutions looking as we officially gear up for the end of February and the beginning of March. If you’ve recently fallen off of your original New Year’s goals, then you’ll be joining a majority of everyone — or those that actually set goals for themselves. Gain your confidence back is doable!

Don’t worry, it’s not the end of the world if you’ve started to slack a little bit. It is, however, an opportunity to snap yourself out of it and get back into your groove! It’s never too late to regain your confidence and continue moving forward, even if you’ve stopped to take a quick rest in life.

The truth is, we experience this all the time and it can occur during any situation in life. Whether you just got passed up for that promotion again, stepped on the scale this morning for the first time in a while, not feeling the spark with your significant other, or simply struggling with motivation in general.

Our confidence will sometimes run dry, but that doesn’t mean we can’t regenerate and ultimately get back to where we want to be in life. It might take some faith in yourself, a little effort, and a side of commitment, but we can all get there!

Recharge in Your Comfort Zone

Most of the time when we start to lose confidence, it’s because we are placed in an uncomfortable situation or an unfavorable scenario. It’s okay to feel uncomfortable, but you have to learn how to move past it and embrace it for what it is. After all, we’ll have to face uncomfortable situations at some point in our life.

We’ll always have an opportunity at some point to return to our comfort zone. These are the moments you truly need to cherish. Many people take them for granted, but the second they feel uncomfortable they yearn for their comfort zone. Appreciate it while it’s here, that way you can thrive when it’s not.


Socializing is one of the secret keys to remaining confident. I’m sure we’ve all had those weekends when we stay at home for 2 days straight, avoid any outings with friends, and curl up watching Netflix all day. I’m also sure we’ve always walked into work the next day with that same, “What’s going on?” feeling.

When we avoid socializing, we start to fall out of touch with the outside world. This can lead to a lack of confidence and the feeling of not fitting in.

One Step at a Time

If you want to start gaining your confidence back, you have to realize it’s a process, not an action. In order to get to the top of a staircase, you need to take it one step at a time — the same goes for confidence.

If you’ve lost it, don’t worry. It happens to the best of us and it’s probably not the first time it’s happened to you. You’ve worked through it before, so there’s no reason why you can’t do it now. I believe in you!
