Challenge Yourself Everyday

When you learn to challenge yourself on a daily basis, you give yourself a prime opportunity to grow and develop as an individual. There’s so much to learn and so much to experience in this world to just watch it all pass without action. If this sounds like you, it might be time to start setting weekly or even daily challenges for yourself.

While there are many ways to challenge yourself and grow as a person, many people will neglect these due to complacency and lack of motivation. If you don’t take the time to challenge yourself, you will forever feel stuck in the current moment with no excitement over what the future holds.

Before you get caught up in what you have and not what you’re after, take a moment to analyze your current life. Are you challenging yourself enough? Are you seeing the type of improvement you want to see in the right areas? If you’re answering no to any of these questions, try adding some variety to your life — step outside your normal bubble and set yourself free.

Let’s go over three different ways you can start challenging yourself on a daily basis and what it will do for your life.

Don’t Shy From Hefty Goals

Some people will get a little too conservative when setting goals and discovering what we want out of life. Instead of “going big or going home,” we choose to go the shortest path and find the easiest solutions to getting what we want. Setting small and short-term goals is essential to feeling that sense of accomplishment, but you also need a healthy balance of big-time goals.

Without these tougher goals, you’ll never truly push yourself to new heights and will struggle to reach your full potential. When you set your short-term goals, counter each goal with a long-term goal so you can track your progress.

Let’s say you’ve set a goal for saving $100 this week — great! Now counter that with a goal to save $500 by the end of the month. Then set a goal to save $5,000 by the end of the year.

Hefty goals are what can take you to the next level in any aspect of your life. Don’t sell yourself short, challenge yourself to complete bigger accomplishments every week — or even everyday!

Overcome Your Fears

Many people will also let their fears control their goals and ambitions. It won’t matter what they want out of life, they’ll never get to that point if they constantly fear what it might take to get there. Learning to leave all of that stuff at the front door is a tough, but rewarding thing.

Overcoming your fears is a major building block to growing as an individual and gives you the opportunity to strut through life with complete confidence. You’ll end up being the best version of yourself and trust me, you’ll learn a lot about yourself that you didn’t already know.

Don’t allow yourself to hold yourself back any longer. Grab life by the horns and live it the way you’ve always wanted to!
